Alison Rawlings
Welcome! My name is Alison and I would be delighted to help you discover London. I’ve had the good fortune to live here for more than 20 years and I love to share the city and its treasures and explain its history to others. After a degree in European Languages I’ve spent most of my professional life in tourism including many years as a tour manager. If you are visiting for the first time we could concentrate on the essential sites like the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, the British Museum and other highlights. If you are on a return exploration of the city we could focus instead perhaps on places that are less well-known but equally fascinating. London is full of extraordinary stories, impressive architecture, magnificent museums, atmospheric little streets - and of course plenty of delightful pubs! There are wonderful surprises waiting for you. Beyond London, but easy to visit within a daytrip by car or public transport, you may also like to discover Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, or the cities of Salisbury, Bath, Canterbury, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. Whatever your interests and preferences, please contact me and I will be happy to suggest a bespoke itinerary for you.
