Angharad Mousley
Hi
I am Angharad Mousley although most people call me Nan -it’s simpler.
I have lived in and enjoyed this place for all my life working as a criminal defence lawyer and as such have plotted many escapes -but the greatest of all was becoming a Blue Badge Guide in the city that I love.
London is an inexhaustible source of delight and pleasure whether you are interested in history and art or restaurants and clubbing or quite simply anything else. We have world class museums, and art galleries, alongside street markets and festivals, all jostling alongside big-name shopping brands. You can visit some Roman baths or take a trip on a hi powered speed boat-or both. It is up to you
With so many choices it helps to have an expert and enthusiastic guide to help you plot your own escape visit whether it for a week or for an afternoon to ensure you visit the parts that you will enjoy the most, whether they are the crowded highlights like the Changing of the Guard and Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London or the less well known parts where you can duck out relax peacefully-just like a local may do.
London maybe one of the busiest cities in the world, but it is also one of the greenest, with parks and botanical gardens that lead the world in caring for our global environment but allow for walks and a little while to relax and have some time out time out.
There are quiet canals and rivers, with picturesque pubs and cafes by boats and barges-where it is difficult to believe you are still in London-but places to spend a couple of hours to recharge before renewing your explorations.
There are hundreds of secrets to uncover and I hope that I will get an opportunity to share my knowledge and interest with you and help shape your stay in London into a trip that you will enjoy and never forget.
I am a City of London Guide as well as a Blue Badge reflecting my own interest in the long history and rituals that shapes every corner and blind alley of this City. As an example did you know there is a Roman Amphitheatre hidden under a Medieval Guildhall just yards from a garden celebrating the two men who published much of Shakespeare for the first time in 1623? There really is a great deal to see and explore.
