Hello! My name is Javier, and I’m originally from Spain, where I studied Art History and Archaeology—fields that have captivated me for as long as I can remember. These passions led me to London over 12 years ago, a city that continues to inspire me every day with its layers of history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture.

When I first arrived in London, I began volunteering and guiding at the British Museum, which allowed me to immerse myself in one of the world's greatest collections of art and antiquities. It was a formative experience that deepened my connection with the city's rich past and inspired me to pursue a career as a licensed tour guide.

Today, I’m proud to be a member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding and to share my expertise with visitors from all over the world. My background as an art historian shapes the way I guide—bringing stories to life through the lens of art, architecture, and archaeological heritage.

I have a particular fascination with Roman Britain, the medieval period, and the Tudor era. From the Roman walls of the City of London to the medieval site of Westminster Abbey and the grandeur of Tudor palaces like Hampton Court, I love exploring how these eras shaped the city's identity. I'm also deeply passionate about medieval architecture, and I enjoy revealing the symbolism, craftsmanship, and context behind the cathedrals, castles, and civic buildings that still stand today.

As an art historian, I take great joy in guiding visitors through London's finest galleries, including the National Gallery, where I explore the evolution of European painting, from the early Renaissance to the Impressionists. Whether you're drawn to the brushstrokes of Van Gogh, the drama of Caravaggio, or the delicate detail of the Pre-Raphaelites, I tailor each tour to suit your interests and curiosities.

While I have a deep appreciation for the past, I’m also fascinated by modern British culture—from its diverse cuisine to its dynamic arts scene, daily life, traditions, and even its quirks. I believe that understanding the present is just as important as understanding the past, and I love weaving both into the narrative of my tours.

I also enjoy leading panoramic coach tours of London, offering a broader perspective of the city’s history, neighbourhoods, and major landmarks —ideal for visitors who want to take it all in without missing a thing.
