Come on a tour with steverunslondon…
As an award-winning London Blue Badge Tourist Guide, I specialise in the city I’ve called home for most of my life. Born and raised in this incredible metropolis, I’m deeply passionate about its rich history, vibrant culture, and the hidden stories that make London so unique. I love sharing these insights with visitors from all corners of the world.
With my deep-rooted knowledge of London, I can guide you through iconic landmarks: we have the Tower of London, home of the Crown Jewels; Westminster Abbey, the historic site of royal coronations; and not to forget Kensington Palace, where three centuries of history, glamour, and courtly intrigue come to life. Whether it's the British Museum's remarkable collection or the masterpieces of the National Gallery, I can introduce you to some of the city's greatest treasures.
London is a city that never ceases to amaze, whether you're visiting for the first time or are a lifelong Londoner. I guide families - big kids and little kids, individuals and groups, and I’d be thrilled to take you on a tour of London's many captivating sights.
Now, you might wonder why ‘steverunslondon’? Well, I have no ambitions to become London’s Mayor but as a keen runner I have taken part in the London Marathon three times. So I can take you on a guided run through the city’s landmarks – imagine, 500 years in a 5K.
But, if you’d prefer, we can walk. I like walking too. You might want to venture south of the River Thames, to Bankside, Bermondsey, or Brixton.
I’m a friendly and approachable guide who loves learning about and sharing the wonders of the city I live in. With a background in Medicine, I qualified as a doctor in London and specialised in psychiatry, driven by a curiosity about people. This brings a particular perspective to my tours, enriching my understanding of both the stories of the city and the people who live here. I offer engaging walks that explore both the city’s landmarks and its medical history, sharing fascinating stories of London’s hospitals, famous physicians, and the evolution of healthcare through the centuries.
There is so much to see and do in London, and I can help you get the most from your visit.

And here is some feedback I have received from clients:
“I took the 9am tour on March 24th with Steven. He was phenomenal! Westminster Abbey is incredible and so much more than a church. There was so much to learn and see and Steven did a wonderful job on guiding our group and ensuring that we saw all the most important sites. He was extremely patient, took care to keep us all together, answered all questions, and was very respectful of the Abbey and all those who rest within. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge and I don’t know how he manages to retain so much history! We also got to see Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the corner of 10 Downing Street, and the Changing of the Guard which was really special, and we had an excellent view!”
“We spent an afternoon at the Tower of London and our guide Steve was amazing! He had the perfect balance of knowledge and tempo. So many great stories - our tour wouldn't have been the same without him.” (Louisa, New Orleans USA)
"Steven was an exceptional tour guide. Very informative and kind. He is a credit to your organization" (from a specialist travel agency)
"Our tour was guided by Steven Reid, who led with emphatic knowledge, good humor, and enthusiasm. What felt like a short time was actually hours filled with learning the rich history of London, its leaders, and landmarks. I could not recommend the tour or Steven as a guide more! He was conversational and conscientious of the members of our group - referencing where we are all from in relation to the content of the tour (equivalent figure heads, government roles, etc.) and even keeping in mind my mom’s legs/stamina as she just completed the London marathon." (Helen, Chicago USA)
“Thank you so much Steve. You were amazing! So much knowledge and so many stories. You really brought the story of Soho to life. See you next year!” (James, Edinburgh)
“We wanted to take a walking tour of the City and we had an absolute downpour that lasted the entire day. Despite requiring full rain gear and umbrellas, our tour guide Steve made this one of the best tour experiences we’ve had!” (Marion, California USA)
"Steven did a great job. He was thorough and kind. He also has a great sense of humour. I would recommend to anyone - our trip was fantastic!" (Florida family, Tower of London and boat trip)
"Fabulous walk across St James’ Park to see Buckingham Palace, followed by an amazing tour of the one and only Westminster Abbey! Steve was one of a kind!! He is filled with an incredible amount of knowledge of history, as well as so many personal and fun stories. We scored with Steve. Hopefully you’ll get him too! Couldn’t be a better guide!"
National Gallery Highlights Tour: “Sir, I attended a Guided Tour of your National Gallery and the guide's name was Steven. I have often been to the NG, but thought it a good idea to have a professional guide to put it all in perspective, and I must say it was worth it as he was brilliant. He not only knew his stuff, but presented it in a very engaging way - so many guides may seem arrogant, and sometimes boring! I can’t recommend him highly enough.”
National Gallery Highlights Tour: "Our guide, Steven, was so knowledgeable, funny, and willing to answer all sorts of questions. Undoubtedly one of the best gallery tours we’ve had!"
National Gallery Family Tour: “Highly recommended ! Our guide was exceptional with the kids. He made the visit super interactive and interesting for the kids. Both kids and adults learnt a lot within just 1h tour. Best way to spend a Sunday morning.”
National Gallery Family Tour: “Thank you Steve for an excellent and enlightening experience. With a lot of interactive experiences such as sitting down and actually analyzing the paintings, our guide Steve was amazing. We really enjoyed this experience and would recommend this guide to families and kids. Agnes & Anne"
