Patricia Ellis
I love London!
Let me show you around our capital which has something to offer for every interest, every season, every age and every mood.
If this is your first visit to London, I can help you make the most of your time here and show you the highlights of our wonderful city, such as Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, or our royal palaces. If you’ve been here before, join me in visiting some of the fabulous, but lesser known, parts of this world-famous place - markets, hidden gardens, small but fascinating museums and galleries, fashionable Chelsea, the lively South Bank, the fascinating East End, suburban Richmond (Ted Lasso territory!) and more - to see, hear and experience how Londoners live, work and relax.
If you have a bit more time to spare, we could venture a little further afield to see, for example, our late Queen's favourite home and now resting place in Windsor or walk in the footsteps of Henry VIII and his wives at Hampton Court Palace.
Whether you’re interested in guided walks, site tours, transported travels or are here on fact-finding missions, I can tailor your trip to suit you, your interests, your timescales and your chosen pace.
I came to work in London many years ago, intending it to be a fairly short stay, but found I never wanted to leave. So when my job moved, I stayed! After a varied career in science, consultancy, medicine and research, I’ve undertaken two years of training and am now proud to say I am an award-winning Blue Badge Tourist Guide for London.

"Thank you for an absolutely wonderful day. It was the best day of our trip thanks to you!" B and J from Texas
"I have booked Patricia as a guide on a number of occasions since 2020. We have covered various parts of London both together and in a private group, including one of the best historic walking tours that I have ever been on, specifically in London's East End. Patricia is very knowledgeable no matter where we go. Her tours are very well managed, informative and interesting. She is also very willing to work with you in terms of specific requests or special circumstances regarding members of the group. She's just great. I highly recommend choosing Patricia as your next tour guide!" K from Toronto
"We truly enjoyed the guided walk through Bloomsbury. It was both engaging and educational, giving us a wonderful glimpse into the rich history of public health in the area. The way you connected places, people, and events- hospitals, key figures, and milestones - made the walk very memorable." University team from Georgia
"We want to thank you for giving us a tour that was everything and more than we could have asked for or anticipated." J and C from Washington
"From the moment we met Tricia we felt very much at ease and sensed that this was going to be a great experience. She has such a kind and friendly demeanor and is a wonderful communicator; the depth and scope of her knowledge of the subject matter was extremely impressive; and the way she offered information in context according to the historic time-and-place was extraordinary. There was never any rush or distractions and questions were warmly welcomed. It is quite obvious that she has a very real passion for what she does and how she does it. Best of all, Tricia is delightfully able to make that passion infectious to her listeners. ........ How fortunate we were to have had Tricia as our guide. To this day my husband and I still reflect back on this time with Tricia and how impressed and fortunate we were. What a wonderful experience we had! " P and R from Virginia
"Tricia's insights and stories brought the area to life, involving us in the characters that made the area famous and the buildings and how they have changed through time. We all left feeling enlightened and thoroughly entertained!" S from Tonbridge Wells
"....it seemed like Tricia had designed the tour with me in mind. And I became an instant history buff in one wonderful pleasant walkabout ☺ " T from Wales
"Tricia has prepared an information packed tour. She is very knowledgeable not just about the history of Westminster Abbey but the architecture and people buried and commemorated in it. Her passion is contagious." J from London
"Tricia took us on a tour of a part of London that was familiar to me. I learned so much from her that it felt as though I was discovering it from the first time" T from Ottowa
"My son and I had a great time visiting the Tower of London with Patricia. Our tour was bespoke as per our requirements. Patricia has immense knowledge about the Tower and made it very interesting for my son who is 9 years old. I would highly recommend this tour." S from Delhi
"A fascinating walk. Tricia knew that we were interested in medical history so she tailored our walk to that subject and highlighted lots of interesting places and stories around the Bloomsbury area that were completely new to me." C from Southampton
"Thank you much more for your terrific tour of Roman London that we very much enjoyed despite the less than ideal weather. You are a fountain of knowledge and all three of us learned a lot" C from New York
"I recently had the privilege to go on a guided tour of Richmond with Tricia and found the experience absolutely fantastic. The tour itself started straight away and the circuit chosen by Tricia flew naturally from place to place until we came back to our starting point a few hours later without realising how exactly that was possible - never back tracking! Tricia is personable, pleasant and present yet never overwhelming. She always had fun and compelling stories and anecdotes to tell about the buildings and sites she was showing us and made it a fantastic day out! I strongly recommend going on a guided tour with Tricia for a memorable day out! C from London
"I want to thank you for helping us have a wonderful trip. You went out of your way to assist us ......... Once again let me thank you for making this a trip I will always remember." J and M from Atlanta
