OUTSIDE LONDON
Britain is truly great! Let’s visit magnificent royal residences at Hampton Court Palace or Windsor Castle, the oldest continously inhabited castle in the world, both just outside London. Let’s drive past the rolling green fields of England on the way to the stunning cathedrals of Canterbury or Salisbury, the ancient spiritual site of Stonehenge, historic Bath, academic Oxford and not forgetting Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon.

Here are a few comments from some of my recent tours:
"Sue took myself and a group of work colleagues on a superb tour of Clerkenwell which we all really enjoyed. The tour was packed with really interesting local historical facts and the way Sue conducts her tour is a huge amount of fun. I really can’t recommend this tour guide enough!!" Alex From London- Nov 2025
"Sue picked us up at our hotel in London and took us to Greenwich for the day. We had a wonderful adventure and saw so many sights including: the Old Royal Observatory (where you can stand on both sides of the Prime Meridian), the best view of London from Greenwich Park, and “the Sistine Chapel of England” aka The Painted Hall. Sue also added fun details like lunch at the Trafalgar Tavern and a visit to the Monument for a Dead Parrot (a la Monte Python). Highly recommend." Sarah from California- June 2025
"I traveled to and around London as part of a university group, comprised mostly of students. Sue's historical knowledge, colorful stories, and anecdotal accounts engaged and educated each of us. Her humor and kindness went beyond stellar service. We left London and Sue feeling as though we'd made a friend. I'm already planning to schedule time with Sue when I return to London with family and friends. It just wouldn't be the same without her!" Camille - Pennsylvania January 2025
"...Sue led our group of 30 American high school students and 3 adult chaperones during our week-long tour of London and surrounding area . She was extremely kind, friendly, energetic, personable, and an absolute delight. She knew everything… and I mean EVERYTHING about London and surrounding areas. She handled any hiccups quickly and made sure our tour went smoothly. She also knew how to read the room with tired teenagers, and adapted accordingly. Our teenage students absolutely fell in love with her. She has been the best guide any of the three chaperones has ever had in our decades of travel." Richard - North Dakota - March 2024
"Sue was amazing with our bus load of 50 college students from the U. S. and two chaperones. She had great histories, fun facts, and spell-binding stories for each of our stops, which included Stonehenge, Cardiff Castle, Windsor Castle, the Tower of London, and the American Express stadium in Brighton. I would totally recommend Sue as a guide for anyone, and I hope all of my future guides live up to the Sue standard." Kelly - May 2023
"Sue was engaging, insightful, and fun. We immediately hit it off since Sue is from Birmingham, England and we are from Birmingham, Alabama. With the Queen’s passing on Thursday of our trip, we were uncertain about our Friday plans, and in fact Hampton Court was closed. Again, Sue sat with us to map out various options, and we landed on a very enjoyable day at Greenwich. In fact, some of the more memorable parts of our week were this side trip that we had not intended to take and that is a direct result of Sue’s ability to pivot and make it a most enjoyable and interesting trip. Sue exceeded our expectations and did an incredible job. " Tim - Sept 2022
