I love London, I love its landmarks, its history, its art and architecture, its museums and galleries, its food, its pubs and its atmosphere.....and I love introducing people to it: whether the main tourist sites or off the beaten track.
As well as the obvious deep knowledge of London and its great history, my interests and specialisms are very wide including: art (I am a qualified art historian and especially love guiding guests around art galleries), theatre, music and literature, food and drink and sport. (I am an official guide at Wimbledon, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club).
I am also an Award-winning Blue Badge Guide: When I first qualified as a Blue Badge Guide in 2022 I was the winner of the overall combined award for the walking tour and Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, National Gallery, St Paul’s Cathedral.
In a previous life I was a school teacher in London schools for students aged 11-18 and spent 30 years in education (the last 10 as Head teacher) and hold a Masters degree in education.
