I have been showing visitors all that London has to offer for more than 20 years and my guiding style is best described as “quintessentially English”. I have a deep love of London’s traditions and Royal history and I genuinely enjoy passing on my knowledge, especially to families and business groups.
Highlights of my guiding career have included being a regular guide in the Houses of Parliament and delivering tours of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the builders and organisers of the London 2012 Olympic Games. I now regularly conduct tours of the Olympic Park focussing on the redevelopment of the Park as London’s most exciting ‘new’ destination.
I also worked for a number of years for one of London’s leading guide agencies, which gave me a real insight into what makes a good tour, and I am happy to take clients to all of London and the South East of England’s leading attractions. Finally, and perhaps closest to my heart, I have specialist knowledge of the beautiful riverside district of Greenwich, which is my home town.
When not guiding I love spending time in my London garden, or cooking for my friends and family. I also love to travel with my husband to Europe and the USA, although my favourite place in the world – after London – is the far north east of England. I previously worked as a fashion accessory buyer, travelling abroad and throughout the UK, but realised that London was the best place to be and decided to spread the word by becoming a Blue Badge Tourist guide. I have loved every minute of my second career!
