Sophie has written for many years on the subjects of travel and UK heritage and her book The Season focuses on the major social events of the English summer. She loves long walks - across the capital, across the prehistoric landscape of Wiltshire and along the River Thames - but can be seen guiding in shorter form at most of the major London sites, as well as Hampton Court, Windsor and Runnymede, Oxford, Salisbury and Stonehenge. She also offers live camera walks and online talks on subjects as diverse as the Arcadian Thames and the history of food.
