I am Sue Hyde - The Guide! Let me show you London. It’s an amazing city and there really is something for everyone to discover by foot or with transport.

If you want that close-up and personal picture of London, let’s do a walking tour: What London do you want to see? The River Thames and its magnificent bridges? Old historic alleyways that Charles Dickens knew? Royal parks and royal palaces? Foodie London? Elegant shops and Georgian squares of the West End? Modern skyscrapers next to a medieval castle in the City of London? There are endless possibilities on the streets of London.

As your own personal guide, I will uncover the stories of those awe-inspiring sites that make London so special. Royal London: The Tower of LondonWestminster Abbey or Kensington Palace. 2018 is going to be a fantastic year for Royal London with the birth of a new baby for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and an Anglo-American wedding at St.George's Chapel, Windsor for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - let's visit all those royal sites together!

London is a rich cultural hub, full of wonderful museums and art galleries: the history of European art in the National Gallery; Twentieth Century art wonders in Tate Modern; Showcasing the history of human cultural achievement from across the world in the British Museum; let me reveal gorgeous treasures of art and design in the Victoria and Albert Museum and tell the story of how London became London in the Museum of London. For fans of World War II history, a visit to the Churchill War Rooms, the fascinating hidden bunker where Sir Winston Churchill directed the war, is a must.

Want to see what is outside London? Not a problem as Britain is truly great! Let’s visit magnificent royal palaces by the river Thames at Hampton Court or the Queen’s favourite weekend home at Windsor Castle.  Let’s drive past the rolling green fields of England on the way to the stunning cathedrals of Canterbury or Salisbury, the ancient spiritual site of Stonehenge, historic Bath, academic Oxford or Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon.

I can design a tour to match your group’s special interest such as food, art, literature, a special commemoration etc. Why not consider a guided tour as a personalised gift for a family member or friend?

I'm a Member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding (ITG), the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides and the Association of Professional Tourist Guides (APTG).

Come – let me show you London and beyond!

Here are a few recent comments:

"Your kindness, unconditional acceptance, patience and understanding towards our Aspergers' kid (the vomiting teenager :)) make you super-special. We have traveled a lot in Europe, many many times with private guides, and you are exceptional in your relationship with our son. You are effortlessly joyful & deeply knowledgeable in relating with all of us (two groups over two summers, different people in each group), but particularly insightful with our son on the spectrum - that is not effortless. Thank you for making our last two trips to London the most special, most memorable, ever. You. Are. The. Best." Laura from Florida, July 2017

"Sue was our guide for a team bonding afternoon and took us around Clerkenwell so we can appreciate the area where we work. She was enthusiastic, funny and full of energy and taught us all to look up and notice what is all around us. Thank you Sue!" Media from London November 2016

“Hello Sue!
Thanks so much... We had a great time and appreciated all your insights and in-depth explanations. Gina and I especially want to thank you for having so much patience with Duncan and Veronica's questions. It made their experience so much more rewarding and positive.” Jeff  from Georgia US, May 2016
