Janet Robinson

I was delighted to qualify as a Blue badge Tourist Guide for London in 2016 when I received the coveted award for Best Guide at St Paul's Cathedral.
I am also a City of London Guide and was awarded the Katrine Prince Prize for the highest mark in the written examination. I have been coming to London since I was a small child and my fascination for this amazing city continues to grow.
I have always considered myself a 'People person' and worked for 20 years as a State registered Nurse and have also worked for many years in education with children of Primary school age (4-11). I would be happy to guide couples, adult groups, family groups or larger student groups.
I have a long standing passion for history, royalty, myth, legend and folklore and a growing passion for art history, especially art of the Pre Raphaelite group and artists of WWI and WWII. I would be delighted to plan a tour for you in one of London's museums, art galleries or other famous sites, including Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the British Museum or the National Gallery. Or perhaps you would like a walking tour around London, discovering hidden alleyways, or walking along the banks of the historic River Thames.
I also have a keen interest in the First World War. I can take you on a War themed walk in Westminster covering many aspects of the War, from the political side to how the lives of women changed forever. I also guide at the Imperial War museum, whose newly refurbished WWI and WWII galleries tell the story of the wars through artifacts, film and personal accounts.
Whatever your age or interests, why not join me in London and Come For a Walk.
