**COVID-19 Response **   I have created a fabulous way to view my city - Virtual Tours.    www.virtualtourslondon.co.uk.

I will be conducting imaginative, colourful and fascinating online tours of London which can be viewed from your own screen at home. These will be live on certain dates and at specific times. We will see even more than we can from the street. Do look us me and join one of these events and if you would like me to create something special for you just let me know. We can also arrange private tours and parties... choose your date and time.

Virtual Tours include: Westminster, St James's, Greenwich, The Thames, Richmond upon Thames, London Gardens, Galleries and Museums. And here are my reviews on TripAdvisor:

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g186338-d21152968-Reviews-Virtual_Tours_London-London_England.html

I love London, its palaces, museums, galleries, parks and gardens. I am excited every day to show off its history and traditions and also to fill you in on what it is like to live here. Where do people go, what do Londoners do?  I love nothing more than pomp, period and pageantry. Guiding and being guided is so rewarding in this city and there is so much to experience!

Every area of the city has its own character. Day to day I find myself telling stories of fascinating characters, pioneers, trend setters, artists and music makers. I also describe the events that have taken place behind the walls of the many buildings in the city, historic and modern, and the way in which these events and people have changed our world. Another passion of mine is our museums - I love to explain the cultures of the British Museum, the art of the National Gallery or Tate Britain and the exquisite design of pieces in the Victoria & Albert Museum.

I can tell you what is going on behind the walls of our Royal residences... Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace and for the more adventurous ...lets take a trip to Hampton Court Palace which is less crowded and so rewarding.  There are many other areas outside London which are accessible on a day trip ... Bath, Stonehenge, Oxford, Stratford are all easy to do in a day and if you don't have transport then let me know - I can also organise this for you. I also love to work with families - having a small child of my own.

Having been a Tour Manager conducting tours around Western Europe and in particularly Italy for much of my career I am missing seeing people and tourists.... I love being in company and opening people's eyes to the beauty and marvels of my amazing surroundings. Through the virtual tours I am keeping this up and I have had such a wonderful response.. including rounds of applause at the end... let's hope we can go back to viewing things in real life soon... in the meantime... see you online!  www.virtualtourslondon.co.uk

REVIEWS OF VIRTUAL TOURS

FANTASTIC VIRTUAL STROLL ALONG THE THAMES: "Absolutely first class! Anna told us the fascinating stories about this area of London. The tour is packed with fantastic stories and photos about the river, nature and villages around this region. I enjoyed it very much! Highly recommended!"

VIRTUAL EXCELLENCE: "Did the London Gardens -Botanics to Urban Tour and found the presentation good, some excellent photos and a lot of interesting information.I love doing guided walking tours which I have not been able to do and only recently discovered these virtual tours. Very highly reccommended."

LOVED FASHIONABLE ST JAMES'S: "Had a great early evening virtually visiting the fashionable St James area of London. Particularly enjoyed the chance to peek inside the shops and slip down the hidden alleyways, things I’m sure I wouldn’t have done if I’d gone there alone.  Thank you Anna, a Blue Badge guide with class."

Virtual Tours – A Creative Way Of Guiding

A virtual tour is so much more than an on-screen stroll… Professional tourist guides are using their imaginations to show so much more detail than when guiding on the street. What at first seemed an uphill mountain to climb…. creating tours for a small screen …. has developed into a quiet revolution – and a creative one.

Leonardo da Vinci In London - 500 Years On From His Death

This year marks 500 years since the death of the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci in May 1519. Although he was born in the heart of Tuscany in Italy, Leonardo had a profound influence on art the world over. You can see evidence of this right here in London. Leonardo's image features in mosaics decorating the National Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum. We are also lucky to have several works in London by the great master. These display not only his creative genius but also his intellect and huge appetite for knowledge.

Best Places To Stop And Catch Your Breath Along The London Marathon Route

The London Marathon starts and finishes in two of London’s most beautiful areas. The starting point is a wide-open expanse of grassland lined by historic houses and cottages on the edge of the pretty village of Blackheath itself. The London marathon route then winds its way past some of our most recognised historic sites, and some of its newer attractions, before finishing near to Buckingham Palace on The Mall.
